Default itching to mod

I am dying to thow on a new exhaust on the car for sound and performance...BUT there is one thing that stands in my way...no its not money, its my G/F. This is her car as well...But she is more of the common sense type...

I am not sure this is something I can hide, the minute I pull up to the house she will hear the difference and blah blah at me for spending $600.00 on something that I dont need.

Should I do it and face the wrath? OR should I somehow twist it around by saying it saves on gas and improves gas mileage in the long run...stuff like that...

I am sitting here at work Trying to force my self to not go out at lunch and get this done..lol

Well its more like Common Law Marriage. We have been living together for 4 years but I have not asked her to marry me yet, that is going to happen very soon.

We share everything like cars, house, joint bank accounts...stuff like that

I was in a similar situation and added the exhaust anyway. After a week or so of complaining about how the exhaust was, my girlfriend changed her tune and enjoyed driving the car (fast) more!

Just give her the engagement ring and then she wouldn't care about the exhaust. LOL. I'm waiting for my boyfriend to propose but he's worse than any of you guys. I think I will see another car in the driveway before I see an engagement ring! He's the one that has an 05 Saleen and an 06 GT and a 72 Monte Carlo. (BTW he has no money-ANYMORE LOL) Oh brother! What am I going to do with him. [sm=icon_beat.gif][sm=joke.gif]

You cannot go wrong with this one. Do the exhaust first. Then propose. And then after all the hugs and kisses say "Oh yeah, I had_______ put in and we are now broke and I have to work at Burger Time washing lettuce but I did it all because I love you." She will be sooooooo happy for you both!
