just wonder how good u think my system would sound if i kept the stock speakers but put in my 7in dvd player and my alpin and amp.....

slightly better. depending on whether or not you have the stock audio or the Shaker. Stock, with a flip screen head unit and an amp, should be pimp. The more you put into your system, the better it will sound.

I doubt you'll hear much difference in the sound with a different head unit. Granted you will most likely have more adjustability with the new HU (EQ settings) so you can get a little better SQ, but only as good as the speakers will allow.

You can have an awesome HU with all the bells and whistles, but if the speakers are crap...the sound will be crap.

You'll notice alot more improvement if you change out the stock speakers.

+1 Definetely get new speakers it makes a huge difference, especially components!!
