OH ya... If I go with these GT 17" wheels, what size tires would I then use? Any suggestions on a nice high traction tire? This is a fun car, it will never be driven in snow and ice and rarely in rain.
255/50/17 or 275/50/17 will fit nicely. 50's are good if you don't use lowering springs and want to fill the wheel wells. Some prefer 40's instead. I have 50's on my car, here are some pics to look at from my car with the 50's:

I like my Nitto's alot, for street driving they grip the road like a glove.

You can buy wheel/tire takeoffs from Saleen for about 400 bucks; thats cheaper than just buying tires!

Ken -- Your fifth pic down is the perfect example of what I love about this color...you can see every detail perfectly.

Great looking car you got there.

Holy Schmooly... are you kidding? $400 bucks.... I am headed to their site as we speak.....

..... I'm back! You are a wizard Beaustang. $425 for tires and wheels. WOW. I can only imagine what shipping will be! I am going to give this a good lookover. For anybody else interested, here is the link

OK... just talked to Saleen... shipping will be $160, so total price is $585. Looks like if I buy the wheels (4 x $129) and tires (4 x 135), I am looking at close to $1100 with shipping. So this is a heck of a deal.

I really like the way your car turned out, the color combination is right on. Black wheels definitely set that color off!

Glad to be of help! Enjoy the wheels! You should also have them throw in a front sway bar, it's only $29.99 and probably wouldn't cost much more to ship at the same time.
