Yeah it's pissing me off lol. I've heard though that I MIGHT be able to find it in more rural areas. So I've not quite given up yet
Blazen... it's probably a little bit of a difference between the 91 and 93 octane tune, but not enough to concern yourself with. We used to have 91 octane here in Oregon, but they switched to 92 some time ago.

Thanks Hamid. We seem to just have 87 89 and 91 here in the flat lands don't know why. I've thought about adding some octane booster to a tank of 91 octane to try out the 93 torque tune, but don't know if that would be a good idea or not. Not even sure if the torque tune would feel diferent enough to be worth the bother.

I dunno if our engines will like boosters. I stay clear of all additives.

Just have Doug make you a 91 octane torque tune... If you have Windows, he can just email you the tune and you can install it yourself onto your X-cal. All the software is available for free downloads on SCT's site. The torque tune is a lot of fun... especially from stop light to stop light.

Cool, thanks. I've been thinking about doing that as I was kinda leary to of any additives (hence the not doing it yet) I think I'll email him tonight.

On the Bamachips site they have you specify which octane your hi-test is 91 or 93. I just ordered an Xcalibrator2 tune for my car and I can't wait! Doug will probably get back to you tomorrow. If you use the Gmail addy on his site he is very good about replying. He was very patient with what questions I had and very helpful.
BTW he has an underdrive pulley for the harmonic balancer available now.

Doug just e-mailed me to tell me my tuner is shipping in the mornin'. To quote Flounder "Oh man this is great!"

He'll answer your e-mail.

yeah his Gmail address is the best, he had been having trouble with his other address. I know anytime I've emailed him he's gotten back to me pretty quick. Good luck.
