ha! Yeah.. I have the same problem.. Walking up to the car, I'm always stopping to pull rocks out of the tread whenever I spot them.

I have that problem too, only it's not rocks. My front left rotor needs to be flipped. When I first got the car, I was braking pretty rough. The noise is coming from the caliper I think.

I have two things:

1. The rocks in the treads - they just repaved my street and I got all of the sticky stuff on my tires - the rocks didn't even have to be in the treads [:@]

2. my brakes squeaking - I've had my car into the dealer to fix them 3 times, and they'll be quiet for a little while and then start sqeaking all over again. That's really getting to me - I just bought a new car and the brakes keep making noise?! [>:] It's kind of embarrassing in a way because it makes me feel as if I don't take care of the car or something. I was thinking about just taking it somewhere else to get it fixed, even without the warranty.

I know exactly what you mean. I hear clicking noises echoing off the objects I pass, then I think about people hearing it, and thinking I don't take care of my car at all. :\

When I was getting my dent fixed at the dealer, it stopped making those noises, but later that day, it started making them again. >_<

I thought I had a stone in my tire a few days ago, but it was just the road I was on at the time - for some reason they built the road to 'clack' like that, I guess to keep people from speeding or something. I was out in the boonies. Stupid boonies and their clacking roads.

My noise is coming from the front-left wheel. I'm almost positive it's the rotor and/or caliper.
