Default MRT's vs. American Thunders

OK, currently I have a single GT takeoff muffler installed with the other muffler and an h-pipe sitting in my garage. I want my exhaust to be noticed, and Im not sure if the gt takeoffs are gonna cut it. Which one sound less ricey and more american muscleish? MRT's or the American Thunders?

I have no clue what the American thunders sound like so I can't give an opinion there. I do have the MRT and I love it. The sound clips in the sticky do not do it justice it's got a nice deep grumble that turns heads. I've gotten several compliments on how much better it sounds after going with the MRT. Good luck though...I'm anxious to hear which route you go.

Thanks blazen351, I laughed so hard at that post that blazen350 posted. Did you find out who it was?

I have dual American Thunders on my ride, sound clips on my web site. I have also heard both in dual configuration on our cars in real life. In fact, I had purchased MRT's and they were sitting in my garage and at the last minute, I decided against it and went flowmasters.

I have dual flowmasters but they are not American Thunders. I think AT's are specially made for Mustangs. Mine sound great, nice growl. [8D]

I went from a single MRT (now for sale) to dual flowmaster super40s (got them too cheap to pass up). A lot quieter than the MRT. If you want it noticed for being loud, i would say MRT, if you want a deeper sound, i would say flowmaster.

Rygen's American Thunders sound better than any other 4.0 exhaust I've heard. The MRTs look like fart cans, I'm sorry. No offense to anyone that has them.

Are the MRTs good in a loud way? Or do they sound more ricey than the Thunders do? I like the performance aspect of the MRTs and I like the Sound of the American Thunders. I dont know what to do!

Depends on the configuratiion, I heard the MRT's on a car with MAC long tube headers, a MAC prochamber and they resonated big time. Drone was bad and at the higer revs, sounded ricey. But I think it was a combination of the setup. This was the setup I heard in real life.

All the other MRT configurations I have heard sound really really good, dual or single. I think the best clip I have ever heard was dual MRT's with H pipe.

I wasn't aware the Thunders sound ricey, then again exhaust is all about personal opinion.
