Default SoCal 'Stangers... Need help.

Someone reversed into me in a parking lot, then drove off without leaving any note, so I came back from shopping to find my new 'stang with a dented/scratched/chipped hood...

Anyway,

long story short, I need help from all Southern California 'Stang owners... I need the best damn bodyshop in the LA area, but I'm willing to travel if it means a better job.

Can anyone out there help me restore my baby to her former glory?

Thanks.

Lame sauce, I guess this would be a good opportunity to switch to the GT bumpers?

My father and I spent a saturday putting my bumpers on. Screw body shops. As far as the chip on the hood, you can always look into touch up paint. But if the chip is really big and nasty, check out your local Ford dealership to see what bodyshop they use.

Get a couple estimates and also ckeck Saleen in Irvine for the price of a new GT take off hood; it should be the same as ours and will come with factory paint. It may be cheaper than a repair as they will have to paint and clear coat yours. Just a thouhgt.

I tried one place, they said about 2 grand. Thanks for the tip on Saleen though, might be worth a look, as I intend to get the front sway bar from them anyway

Try Wondries Collision in Alhambra. It's part of the Wonderies group. It's a huge repair facilty, fully integrated with the major insurance companies, etc.

Two Grand!? Definatly check Saleen, you can get the whole GT take off kit with wheels and tires for $1200 and I bet if you tell them you need a hood and sway bar they'll cut you a deal. PS the GT kit comes with dual exhaust!

$2K?!

Pictures please, I'd like to see what that body shop thinks $2K of damage looks like.

I see you have the Pony Package so you would'nt want the whole GT kit, but if you did get it you could sell the stuff you don't need. You can also get the kit with out the wheels. I think they get about 2-300 for a hood.
