Default FX35 infinity

so the other week i was driving out to the mountains to go fishing with my son and it seemed like i had been getting stuck behind a bunch of mentally impared retards the whole way there[>:] and im tired of driving 15 miles per hour. i pull up to an FX35 at a two lane stop light that splits into one lane in about 200 yards or so. hes also tired of being stuck behind a bunch of retards. im thinking "wow this guy might be another dumbass i better beat him to the lane" so right when the light turned green i floored it. and then i realized he was still really close (half car length) and that we were racing so we both gunned it and i started to pull on him and beat him by about 5 or 6 car lenghts.
does anyone know how fast they are? i saw a commercial saying they had the best acceleration in there class. felt good knowing without the x-cal i probably wouldnt have won. score 3 for onefastv6! i hope that its someting to brag about[sm=feedback.gif]

Thats rediculous how in the world did they get those numbers out of a stock auto v6? I just barely made it ino the 15's? Maybe they did it with a brand new one; when I went to the track the stang had about 10k on it.

Where are you located, or the track you ran at i should say? You have to remember they are running on a perfect track, under perfect weather conditions and pretty level altitude ones. For example the track down here is absolute crap, only 23 ft above sea level but it's not exactly in great shape and it's hot as crap down here and humid, even at night. Take mag numbers with a grain of salt i say, they just show a cars optimum performance stock.

Yeah it was at Orlando Speedworld and it was really hot! And the wheels arent that heavy there only 18's but I guess it probably would make a difference.

BTW, most cars run a little better at say 10, 20, 30k miles then they do at 0 miles or whatever. It looks like you have chrome rims, how big? Chrome rims are performance killers, lots of extra rotational mass is just terrible for any cars track time. That, combined with any track factors, prolly really hurt your time.

Also, did you launch on a powerbrake? Just leave the tranny in D?
