Rygen...forgive my stupidness...what is a line lock? And a T-lok?

Impressive intro and welcome to the forms. Props on the black wheels man, I like them.

Now, you said line locks....which means, someone that plans to drag race. Right on!!!! How do you like them? Got any specific impressions on them? This is something I am considering and appreciate your input.

It's a type of brake control system. It works usually with a switch, hit the brake pedal and arm the switch. Then when you remove your foot from the pedal, a solenoid maintains pressure to the front brakes until you flip the switch. This makes it easy to heat the rear tires at the track. Namely in the burnout box. It also minmizes wear and tear on the rear brakes, which I probably kill mine. LOL.

They can also be used to prevent a manual tranny car from rolling out of the staging beams at the starting line.

That sounds pretty serious.

Yea, it is for the hard core track junkie, no doubt about it. Scrming was the first one to tell me about em, then Fazm. Scrming was explaining how they work to me when he was at FFW competing. I think Fazm is getting some too.

Thanks Guy's,

Nice steed...& Welcome...are those braided Hoses or the wraps?
They are the wraps but the fittings are heavy duty compared to the normal thin anodized pieces in most part stores, I got the kit at Auto Zone.

Sweet setup!

Hey about the T-Lok, Do you like the gain you got from this? I am thinking about doing this winter and would like to get input from someone who has this.
I love it, especially that little sideways twist you get when heating up the tires. I had the Dealership do it for me so it cost a bit more but since it’s a Ford part and they installed it, it has a warranty for 12 months/12,000 miles.

NICE Stang, I really dig the rims! Have you considered replacing the stock muffler?
Defiantly! I don’t know if I’ll go duals or not. I have thought about the MRT single axle-back exhaust.

I hope to get it installed this weekend if at all possible, it’s a father son project and we do plan to take it to the strip but I’m keeping the car pretty mild for the track and a daily driver.

It’s the MotoBlue Line Lock Kit and looks pretty strait forward to install.

Thanks again,
Rob

She's a beauty and welcome to the forums. One of the best Newbie posts I've seen yet.
