Default Stripage Question Help!

So, as some of you may know, I have a SCS vista blue mustang, and someone recently backed into the hood, denting it to hell. Thanks to Paulboy, I got a really great deal on some GT take offs, including a new hood, now here the question:

My car already has racing stripes, the ford factory ones (it came with them) so, is it possible to put the old stripes back on the new hood? or are they trash? And if I get new ones, should I get Satin Silver or Silver Metalic? And does anyone know a good stripe place in SoCal?

Any help provided will be deeply apprecieted, as will any and all opinions on the colour choice?

Personally I say ditch 'em. The factory Ford stripes are WAAAAAY to skinny. Shop around and get some bigger ones.

Your old stripes are hosed. They're a adhesive backed vinyl stripe, when you pull them off, they will stretch.

Here's a crazy suggestion for you as well. Having used to work at one, call a sign shop in your local area, and tell them what you want. They can cut you a stripe for your car out of a really good 3m or comparable vinyl, and mask it for you. Masking is the process of putting the tape over the stripe to keep it from stretching during application.

It should cost you a *LOT* less thank what you could buy from a stripe vendor. You just need to find out exactly what color it is you want. THey should even have a rack with a bunc of choices in their production room.

This way you can select how wide you want your stripes to be, and choose a pinstripe width too. They will all come masked together and be pretty simple (sic) to install.

You havent lived until you try to apply a digital wrap to a newsvan.

also the sign shop will get a great color match, they have more color selections than Dulux paint!

They can match the size too easily

+1

It will be a lot cheaper.
I was quoted $25.00 for 30ft of 10" black Vinyl.
