Default consol delet

has anyone seen or considered deleting the center consol and just having the carpeted hump between the seats like in the old days? I think it would cool. Anyone good with photo shop care to give it a try? I posted a request in the Chop Shop section but got no responses.

I think it would be cool. I have long legs, I'd like to be able to tilt my knee out to the right more. One of the reasons I like the Stang is that the long front nose gives a good amount of legroom. I can't get comfortable in most rice-crap cars.

attach the shifter to the ceiling of the convertable only for autos .manuals will have to pay extra for that package along with a midget to shift there car in the back seat when the top is down

You would think that somewhere along the way someone in R&D at Ford or somewhere would've said, "Hey, you know maybe placing cupholders in such a way on the console that any drink they hold totally obstructs the shifter and the drivers ease of using it, maybe that's not such a great idea."

Would be an AWSOME LOOK!! Maybe some guys with interior know how might be brave to try. I think if the carpet is still in one piece, all you would need is a bezel and new boot, and if it is cut , the front carpet would have to be replaced with the boot and bezel, then we could put a gauge cluster on the tunnel like the GOOD OL DAYS!![sm=drooldude.gif]
