Default tech help pls... Afixer, Blackfoot,Rygen....

Hello,

I am trying to figure out where to place the Bosh wideband O2 sensor for my EUGO gauge.........

The directions state to place 18 inches downstream from exhaust.....but before Cat conv. My question is that there are 4 sensors already in our exhaust.... and that doesn't leave a lot of room to place another.

Based on the diagram below, do you think that my chosen location will cause any issues with flow to the existing sensor?

Rygen, if you finished your install, did you put the sensor there or somewhere else....?

Appreciate any help / thoughts....

Thanks

Your new senor wont have any affect of exhaust flow. Onyl problem with putting it right there is access to the exhaust flange nuts and bolts. That and your new sensor might get damaged during repair (when it needs it).

Thanks PZero, you make a really good point!!!

If I move it down a little maybe ofsetted with the factory in the oposite side but closer to the cat......?

Wow tha was a handful let see this new pic .... I don't think the sensors petrude inwards too much towards each other....should I worry about that?

What about turning your rear O2 sensors off and using the CAT sensor hole. Would it not give an accurate reading?

Actually, looking closer at my setup, I have an 02 sensor on the turbo piping up in the engine compartment in the car (considered the most accurate location for my setup):

And my stock ones here:

I read to get the most accurate reading, you want the bung before the cats, not the one in the cats themselves.

Its too bad they dont paint or coat the stock manifolds with something. When I took mine off yesterday they were just as rusty as yours.

Thanks Rygen and all who answered it.....

for your set up it works there on your new turbo piping, As staded the cats will not produce an accurate reading. I think that Iam going to go with the second choice just before the cat and opposite (offsetted) the stock one.....

How do you like your gauge Rygen? Can't wait to get mine running so that I can tweak with the AF ....lol
