Jack Stand Location (Pics)
OK.. I know this type of thread has been disscussed, but would like some reassurance before I do a LCA swap.
I know where to put the jack when lifting (Pic 1)
But where do I place the jack stand when the floor jack is in the notch area?
Do I place it on the same "black metal" or the "green metal" ? (Pic 2)
Also, is a two-ton floor jack capable of lifting the car?
Sorry if these are some n00b questions.. I just don't wan't to damage the car..(or me lol)
Thanks

any place with metal that you have picture should be acceptable for jacking the car. The only thing you want to stay away from is really thin metal, and any plastics. Generally the areas closer to the center of the car are stronger metal. And yes, a 2-ton jack will left the car just fine.

the best thing is to jack up under the REAR DIFF on the flat part (not the cover) and then place ur jack stands under the frame rails (where u have ur jack in the first pic) then remove the jack thats under rear differential.

Also I like this idea because I won't put stress on one side of the car then move to the other when jacking up.
Thanks Paul.

I'm pretty sure the manual says specifically NOT to jack the car using the rear differential. If for some reason the jack slips, you could do some major damage to the driveline components (axles, driveshaft, differential, etc...)

Here are some fresh pics of the "flat part".
Good/Bad to jack there?
