Whenever I have my top down I hear something coming from the back driver side. Not sure exactly what or where. Its only when i have the top down though.

Anyone know anything about this????

there was a thread by Lizzy about the rattle from the back left side. you can probably only hear it when the top is down because it is too soft

well its a pretty loud squeeky noise, if i turn the radio up a lot i cant hear it but its completelly silent when the top is up!! Its hard to tell where it is because its when im driving and when i hit bumps. I think i may have someone sit in the back seat and listen for it and then bring it into the dealer.

any ideas guys???

only thing I can think of is maybe the bars that run across the top are kinda tweeked a little and when it closes in the back it doesnt lay completely flat and when you hit a bump or something it has just enough play in it to squeek and rattle.... just a guess...

That might just be, because when it goes down the cloth doesnt always lay down right unless i tug it down, it catches on something and im lazy so i dont always get out and tug it then let it go down! Thanks a lot

I just noticed a similar thing this past weekend. I thought I had a speaker going out in the back, but when I turned off the radio it was still there. My noise was like a "pop" sound, only hear when the top is down, and it is there when I am at idle.

My top squeaks like a banchee when it is down... I've been meaning to take it to the dealership, but haven't had the time.

I'm thinking a lot of us are going to have it - bad design on the hindges which cause the parts to rub together and squeek.

well now that i think about it the passenger side is the one that goes down weird and the sound comes from the driver side.

I will have the top down tomm if its nice and im going to look at the height difference and try and find where its coming from. its only when i hit bumps if the car is sitting its silent.

we will see tomm, i will report back tomm with new news on it
