I got a door ding that dented/scratched past the clearcoat and paint. What Lizzy says is correct; you have to have the dent fixed and the panel (not just the spot) painted/clear-coated. My shop qouted me $250 for the pass door, if it's a quarter panel it'll probably be more. Sorry.

Just when I thought it would happen to me for the first time (at school from some idiot on purpose).. a chip and dent in the paint! [:@]
She has been flawless since Jan '05. After my swaybar installs, I left the front factory one in the corner of my garage out of harms way.
No less then 10 minutes ago I hear a loud "cling" (I thought it was broken glass).. nope..
My dad wanted to move the frontsway somewhere else and in the mean time didnt hold the U brackets and one slid off. Honest mistake,
but it just realllly hurts!

The chip is past primer and right to the metal.

Any guesses to repair the Pony!!?

Well sorry to tell ya but........

the dent is pretty severe at the middle part so I don't think the will be able to pop it out. as for the scratch being past the clearcoat and the paint and the primer can not be fixed by rubbing compound.... so it looks like a paint job on the whole panel...sorry I can't quite make where in the car it is quarter or hood......

you looking at a Grand for the panel paint and the body fixes...

Oh no doubt! He said that they're going to pull the dent as much as possible then fill with metal flake.
He uses PPG paints which are quite reliable, so a small spray of Ebony with a total clear and I should be set.

Picked her up about a half hour ago! Releived to have her back after two days.

But! I think she got patched up very nicely, and.. now with a new clear coat..
no more surface scratches on the hood! [sm=happy046.gif]

Bad part is I can't wax for 30 days!!
