Default V6 vs mini cooper

My friend just bought a 2006 Mini Cooper. Not the S with the supercharger. We were talking about our cars and going to the track. Do you think my V6 (manual, MRT exhaust) can beat his mini? This is at the track not the street.

Well, they are light...like 700-800lbs lighter then us. Unfortunatly they also have an anemic 115hp/11tq and are fwd. All that adds up to high 16's to low 17's depending on tranny, most of the times i've seen have been around there. If you don't slaughter it sopmething is very very wrong.

Now the Cooper S, mated with the 6-sp, thats a competitor to the v6. Low 15's, at least in manual, the autos are high 15's.

For real...i test drove one once...could never buy it, those things aren't made for 6'3 people, lol...but anyway, it just handles like it's on rails. Seriously, it may look dorky and stupid, but the Coop S is one nice car performance wise.

I think off the line, the mini will beat you... but give him a couple car lengths, then youll be on his *** in no time... GO SIXERS!!!

me and my freind just came back from a party tonight (4:43am) and we stopped at a light on the way. he has his dad's copper S manual and i have a v6 manual with dual flowmasters and x-pipe. off the line i raped him, but he started gaing on my towards the end of 2nd gear (~60mph), but once into 3rd i destroyed him. i thought he would have done better, but if we were on a road course with turns, he would have raped me.
