Well I called some more places to get my T-Lok and short shifter installed today. I asked for a quote on labor and one place said it would be less than $500, but how less I was wondering. They also told me if I was changing the gears it would cost me $800(together)! Is it just me or were they just trying to rip me off?

 

Here wa sthe break down for me:

-gears: 200
-tlock: 185
-bearing kit: 80
-labor: 300

 

I have the parts it's just I need them put in.

Did you buy the parts at the same time?

 

Yea, got the tlock from ebay, got the rest from mustangtuning.com. Keep in mind some shops wont have you get the bearing kit, cause they keep that instock.

 

Labor at $300? I don't know much about labor costs for a shop but that sounds better then charging me $800 frikin dollars.

we charge $45/hr here in ks
probably lookin around $300 labor for everything

Yea was 690 for me here in socal. Which is why thats the only mod i had done at a shop

 

Petepete, please tell me the price included the gears, t-lock and install! If not, I hate to say it but you should have shopped around.

 

only included the tloc here in irvine everything is always damn expensive
