Mustang attacked
So i was walking into the store and i looked at the back of my car and noticed this

Looks like someone shot it with a bb gun, dont know who would want to do this to my car, i dont have anybody angry at me or nothing. Any suggestions as to what i can do to get it fixed up? The dent is pretty bad and the paint seems to be chipping too.

I'd go ahead and get an estimate from a body shop. They maybe able to do a paintless dent removal and then you can hit it with touch-up paint if you wanna go cheap. If not, they most likely would paint the whole trunk.

The person who shot your car will probably never have the luxury of owning such a nice car, or anything nice for that matter, and this person is aware of this. This is probably why he or she did it, he or she figured "Ill never be at that level, so I will do what I can to bring the owner of that Stang down to mine" I tell ya man, whoever did that is a pathetic loser. I work at a Detention Center/Federal Holding facility (Jail) here in Kansas. I see those likes of people all the time, coming to jail for Criminal Damage because they took a bat to a guys new BMW. If asked why they did it, they reply "That guy thought he was hot s*** with that car, well he isnt so hot now" You just got to look on the bright side and get it fixed and move on man.... I feel your pain though.. Im sorry that happened.

It also looks as if he was aiming for your taillight, trying to crack it out, and missed by an inch or so , denting your trunk lid. I bet a good shop could take the lid off, pop out the dent and touch it up. But just like amystery2u said, most likely they will have to repaint the whole lid in order to get an even good looking paint job. Its too bad you dont live close by, my wifes cousin is a master painter at Car Crafters here in kanasas. Hed probably do it for darn cheap, if not free. If it helps any man, Just remember, that person will get whats coming to them. Maybe they will end up in Jail someday and get the wrong end of an angry Judge, and get 10 yrs instead of 2-5, and he or she will say "What did i do to deserve this?" hehehehehe.

You know what i have seen a lot of this going around. Like this girl at my work just bought a new Honda and she has got her car key'd 3 times already. And this isnt like someone walking by and their keys accidently touching the car. Its like someone standing there and keying the crap out of hit. I have no idea why people do this. ******** these days.

Sick ******** these days. That really sucks man.
I had some ****** egg my last car late at night, got everyone on the block, and when egg sits on paint over a duration of time it litterally DESTROYS paint, there were a lot of pissed off people that morning, but the tires on my new car is worth more than my last car (1993 Toyota Corrolla).

My guess is a kid sniping your car while you drove past. Do you remember any awkward sounds when driving towards the store?
Sadly there are indeed way to many things like this happening. It all starts with doordings being disgarded like: "You parked to close, your fault" or "It happened to me and no one left a note, so I ain't leaving one either. Though luck" and it ends with pure vandalism “You got a cool car, so here, now it isn’t that cool anymoreâ€

It may have happened to other cars in your area besides yours, but possibly the other people did not notice a BB ding on theirs. Sometimes kids turn off their brains and do a string of vandalism for no good reason. My car is still ding/dent free, but eventually someone or something is going to get it. Oh well.
