Default Moving the driver seat back

Ya... sounds nuts... but I am almost 6' 2", and while I fit OK in the Stang, and can deal with the legroom, I would be SOOOO much more comfortable if the seat moved back 1.5 to 2 inches more. Arms are fine, I could sit back that farther.

Anybody know how the seats in the '05 are attached? Is it like 4 bolts I could just redrill new holes and away I go? Or would it be some super difficult or impossible thing to do?

Or... is there another way to move the seat back, or move the pedels forward????

i wouldnt "just redrille" your cars floors has built in nuts for the bolts.. and your seat is bolted a subframe crossmember for strengh..

tilt your seat back and get that gangsta lean going on...

im 6ft. and my seats all the way back, put back at an angle where i can comfertably drive, fixed my leg cramping issue

Huh? Your leg must be really bent, and your ankle too.... Is your foot directly on the pedel, or at some angle with respect to the pedel?

this is what is under your seat.... theres a hump... i dont think its possible to move it back with the stock seats... the hinges are made for the hump.. its lovely lady lumps.. check it out!! LOL sry i had to say that.. anyways heres some pics of me when i removed my seats to clean the carpet under...

plus there are two main connectors.. a small yellow one, and a fat gray plug... and it doesnt extend.. so youll need to modify it if anything.. plus it is more worse if you have power seats... lol

I found that tiltling the seat backwards gave me more leg head and arm room. I'm 6'4" and don't have my seat all the way back. My stang and my buddies golf are the only cars that have more than enough leg room for me. Best of luck.

I am new to these forums went from a 04' F150 to an 06 Mustang. I am 6'7' and have found I had move the seat all the way back. I did find raising the seat about 2 inches helps to compensate for the Gansta' lean and still gives room for my head at the roof line. In the 06' they lengthened the body a bit (if I read the specs correctly) so I have plenty of leg room.
