Default retrofitting a supercharger

Just out of curiosity... If I had a 99-04 V2 trim supercharger would there be a way to fit it to the engine in the v6 S197? I know that the tubing and tuning and brackets wouldnt match up but could you use the unit and buy the other parts separately?

I dont see why you couldnt. Youll probably have to fab up brackets and piping, you might also need some sort of boost controller so you dont over boost it. You can pretty much put any aftermarket supercharger (centrifugal type) on any engine, even your lawnmower if you wanted to.

Doubtfull...You're better off selling it and buying one designed for a S197.

I suppose the main question would be if vortech would let me buy just the hardware for the S197 wouldnt it.

The blower should be fine but you have to consider that its not the blower itslef that makes the kit so expensive its all the little thing. (brakets, tubing etc) As for buying it from vortech you prolly better off going to your local speed shop and explaing the situation from them and ask them how much it would be to have it put on and tunned I bet in the end you'll prolly save about 1k
