Default GT Muffler brackets

I need a set of driver side Gt muffler hanger brackets so I can mount my driver side Gt takeoff muffler and go dual. Trouble is... I dont want to call joe schmoe and pay $80, or even $60 for them. All they are is cheap metal brackets with rubber in them. Isnt there GT take off brackets? I can fabricate my own brackets from scratch but I dont want to go through the trouble if I can get some for $15-$30 for the set.

Default RE: GT Muffler brackets

I found a way to do it, nevermind. thanks to a post i found from Tres Wright. Thank Tres!!!! I will post an exerpt from your post.

Another person removed the front bracket off the right muffler and used it as a rear brackets on the left (it's the same bracket). Then he had a shop fabricate hangars for the front of both mufflers. That way he was able to get the mufflers to hang right without having to buy the left side brackets. Not a bad idea if you want to save 70 bucks! Who's sunroof do you have on yours? It looks nice!
