I think the challenger is a good lookin car, wonder what the final product would look like.

It's Shinoda. The man who had the original concept for the Boss.
It will be interesting what the new CEO of Ford will do. Since he comes from Boeing he probably has some new ideas and guts to make changes.

I just hope that whatever Ford comes up with for the new Mustang, that they take a hint from the Challenger and Camaro retro remakes, and bring back the rear fenders (hips) that have always been a trade-mark of the first and true pony car, the Mustang.
Scrmg had a photo of a black Mustang parked next to his that had the rear fender bulges - as add-ons. Hopefully Ford incorporates them into the body on the next re-design, rather than offer them as bolt-ons. It was probably a cost cutting measure to leave them off, but if Dodge and Chevy figured out a way to add them, it can't be that difficult or costly.
From what I've read on the Challenger protos, it will be quite the machine, with the new Hemi for power, and light weight. The Camaros on the other hand, have been kept pretty secret, as far as any new powertrain or final fit and finish. Let the Proto-Wars begin And THANK YOU...Big 3...for bringing back the era of Muscle/Pony Cars [sm=groupwave.gif]

RE: New Charger - Ford must Answer
One thing everyone has failed to mention is PRICE....
No way is the challenger going to be cheap with a motor outputting that much power. If it ends up being twice the price of a mustang, it wont be a competitor, it may be faster, but it still wont compete with the mustang.
If the charger ends up being $30,000 and my mustang was $22,000, if I put $8000 into the the engine.... I wonder who will win.
