Default Does AEM intake need a tune

I like the look of this, and I dont want to tune. I was leaning toward the S&B but it looks pretty crappy.

I would just save up for one with a tune and get a tuner. The tuner makes a big difference.

i no it gets probably 15 more hp. This will at least give an ability to tune in the future, but I dont want to run the risk of tuning

Is $254.95 a good price for the AEM Brute Force? AutoAnything Brute That Force

I like the "no tune" approach myself as well (not looking for a race car or complications beyond simple switch out of parts, but will never complain about increased acceleration response).

I also like that it claims to be a "dry flow" (oil free) filter (after all the controversy over K&N filters and MAFS - although I still have a K&N drop-in installed).

My fiance will kill me if she knows I am even considering this! She made me promise "no CAI/Tuner mods" after "allowing" me to do a GT Take-off muffler swap out. [8D] BUT... A CAI without a tuner is far less expensive!!!!

Oh... when you do the vehicle make, model, specific type and year, etc...... the page it brings up does say this will fit the 4.0L engine... but all it talks about is "truck or SUV". Is that maybe because our engine is based on a SUV engine in the first place?

Kewl. I'll search a bit more when I reach a point that I "think" I can squeeze this one by my gal... lol. Don't get me wrong, it is not that she's so much a penny pincher.... it's just that I can indeed go whacko on buying gadgets and gizmos (outside of Mustang stuff)... and I do... lol.
