Default casandras new mod!!!!

haha well i named her haha Casandra!!!
but thats not the point of this thread
if you havent herd yet the TB on the 05 v6 is heated by engine coolent
it runs alot hotter because of this
so i did the TB bypass and after extensive use of the engine the TB is still cool which must mean that the air charge is cooler
i def feel a performance gain as well if its not all in my head!!
shoot me a pm if you dont know what im talkin about and i will show you the insturctions on this freel mod

From what I've heard, this only works on the 2005's. Let us know if you see any adverse affects when the winter temperatures get colder. You should make a new thread with a How-To write up showing how to make the modification. Glad to hear it worked for you.

"Casandra" huh? With a name like that, it sounds like she will get you into trouble

With the volume of air flowing past the throttle body, and the very small surface area exposed to the air stream, I'm guessing the actual increase in temperature of the air is virtually non-existant.

if you have ever taken the TB appart the metal surface area is quite large
with the coolent running through it its about 190degrees
with the coolent disconected its about 90degrees
i dunno about you but i think thats a hell of a change

SHOOT ME A PM IF YOU WANT TO SEE I DUNNO IF I CAN POST IT UP HERE

I did it 2 weeks ago...very easy mod. Before, with the heatsoak , car felt sluggish after a while. After the mod, the car will still feel like it does when u first start it up , even after hours of driving. HArd to explain but easy to notice.

I just did this mod last night...thought id try it out. I already can tell by touch that the TB runs cooler. Ill post about any other changes if i see any. By the way this takes maybe 20min and is not perminant so its worth to try out. I would like to somehow come up with a formal test to see if this really does make a power gain. Maybe have two identical cars run in the same conditions for a duration of time, one with the TB connected and one without and compare....if only i had a buddy with an 05 stang.

what tube do you take off the bottom of the carb? If you're standing in front, is it the tube on the bottom left closest to you or further from you. From what I could see, i think it has to be one of those two tubes. What do you guys do, just take the tube off, put a bolt in the end, and then clamp it?
