I have the Magnaflow axle back and am very pleased with it. It has a nice low rumble and is not very loud which is what I was looking for. As far as drone, there is some while cruising at 80mph on the highway, but it is not bothersome. The Magnaflow is a very high quality muffler. It is stainless steel all around and is polished to a high luster.
That being said, sound is very subjective so I highly recommend you listen to different mufflers before you buy them. Many folks buy a muffler without hearing it first and end up selling it soon thereafter because they are not happy with the sound or drone.

Hey, can you provide a video clip with sound of your Magnaflow axle back?
I am looking for higher exhaust gas flow without a lot of noise! I don't want it loud and I certainly don't want any drone either.
Lots of Euro's and rice burners come stock with duals and they are really quiet with good flow. But I figure a good flowing single should be able to produce good flow without all the racket too.
I know you have to give up some noise suppression in the name of flow but there should be a good flowing quiet/er axle back muffler out there.
Thanks

The Flowmaster were noticablly deeper than the stock muffler. Here's a comparison. There's some popping on the clip but that's when it was brand new just put on. Doesn't pop as much when revving now that's it's broke in. http://www.putfile.com/rnstanger
I just put on a Flowmaster last weekend. I love it but it is loud. The sound clips really don't do it justice. There's not much drone at cruising speed in high gear but definate loud drone in 2nd and 3rd at lower rpms 3000ish. If you don't want loud, don't get this one. If you want people to know you're coming, this is a good choice.
