Default What a difference when returned to stock

Well, I found a TSB on the Shaker500 for the "Bad Disc" message that I get every so often with cds, and spun it into getting the Ford Sirius installed for $150! Just to be safe, I reflashed back to stock, and had a 25 minute drive on the highway to the dealership. I know everyone talks about the difference they see when they flash their first performance tune, but let me tell you, it seems even more drastic once you flash back to stock! I've been driving for 3 months with my 93 tune...I ran my tank dry, filled it with 87, and reflashed to stock. She doesn't get moving as easily, and even on the highway it felt like I couldn't pass a Pinto (obviously an exaggeration, but you get the idea)!!!

For those of you who may not be happy with your tunes, or think they made no difference, do yourself a favor....flash back to stock, and go for a drive. You'll soon see why you spent the money you did to get them!!!!!

Even if you don't hav 93, you can get a performance tune for whatever grades of gas you have access to...you WILL see a big difference.

Hey guys, on another note, the Sirius install was cancelled. The service guy called me this afternoon and said that the 2005-2006 Shaker H/U cannot be upgraded to Sirius. Apparently, I would need to buy the newest H/U, the touchscreen/nav H/U, and with Sirius and install it would cost $2000!!!!!!!! The guy felt real bad because the parts supervisor, in front of me, said it was possible. What a let down...

So it's just a dealer add-on package, like the Stampede edition etc?

I picked up a JVC CD/DVD head unit for my Expedition for 250.00 and had the sirius added for 100.00 a little over Four out the door installed and am going to add monitors later.

I also put a Sat ready Alpine CD head in my Bronco for around $200.00. I haven't done it yet but the Sirius units are only around $80.00.

I also had a 7" double din indash CD/DVD player with CD changer and the Sirius installed in the Stang for around 1200.00. there are definately better ways to go even on a low budget.
