Going to get my windows tinted soon. On th 07 how do you keep them from rolling down when you open the door and rolling up when you shut it?
Thanks,

Ok, But when you reconnect the battery wouldn't it start doing it all over again? The place that tints my windows doesn't want you moving the windows for like 3 days...

Look in the owners manual. It's in there.

Also... if they cure it properly.. you should not have a problem.

Have them pull the door panels off and tint to just below the rubber piece. That is what they done to mine and no problem at all.

In the owners manual it tells you how to deactivate it for the icy seasons so it wont burn out the motor if the window is frozen. And if you disconnect the battery then you will have to recalibrate the window roll-up, says that in the same spot in the manual.

one other item to look into has to do with the window molding. I understnd that the molding will scratch the tint. Some have suggested moleskin to prevent this problem. I am not sure if ford has a fix or not might want to check this out first thought so you do not waste your money

I got my windows tinted, never bothered disabling it. I got a small amount of reflective chrome in mine, and it took a month to dry. That month I rolled my window down and up once, and open and shut my door a million times. The tint is still flawless, not a scratch on it. I wouldn't worry about it personally.

My Nissan Armada scratched my window tint after awhile. I hated it.I hope Ford has fixed it, because I love to have my windows tinted, but I can't handle scratches.
