Okay so I'm looking at buying an 07 4.0,Silver with the appearance package. We really like the car and hopefully will be picking it up soon. Any concerns about these? Thought about going with the GT but prices kept me out (both insurance and gas). I think that the 4.0 is the best way to go, seems like evryone that has one says they have plenty of power. If we get it I'd like to know who has the best rear window louver, not the quarters but the back glass, and what I can expect to pay for one. If we pick it up this week I'll try and post a pic or two.

Welcome to the MF! I currently own both the 05 4.0 and the 07 GT. Overall if I had to buy just one, it would be the 4.0. I wrote a review i think it was called v6 vs. GT or GT vs. v6 -my comparison or something to that extent. I gave a pretty good writeup about both of the cars. Don't mean to bash the GT by any means, but definetly good pick with the 4.0

thanks all and hopefully I'll be getting one this week. Seems like this car has a tremendous amount of potential. Any issues I should be aware of?

Sounds like your car and mine are twins. Got mine last month. I love it.
Yes, the 4.0 has some guts for a V6.

So far my '06 v6 has been awesome. Lots of giddy-up out of the little motor, and extremely fun to drive. And personally, I haven't had any technical problems whatsoever with my Pony. Are you going automatic or manual?

Welcome Silver Stanger..... silver does not seem to evoke passion like black, red, lime and yellow.... but us silver folks like it....

The 4.0 with a tune is a great car. Probably 230 HP at the crank with tune, CAI and muffler, with touque of 250+ at the crank. That is some serious power, and the torque comes on at 3500 RPM... very available. Plus, the V6 can look as good or better than the V8.
