Default Tires

I've been thinking more and more about wider tires in the rear.

Whats the widest tire I can get on my stock 17 inch bullits?

A 255/45ZR17 Pirelli PZero will fit on the 17"x8" Bullitt, but the overall diameter is 1" less than the stock tires.

does anyone know the max for the 16"s. I get the free tires for life from my dealer, but those 16s bfgs spin all the time, they really dont grip well at all. I feel like they are the weakest link on the v6s. Id like to get wider ones tho. in the rear

Are the stock 16" wheels 7"? If so according to the goodyear site you can go 245s.
They show a 245 50 16 but side wall hieght would be aprox 1/2" less than stock.

i have done some research and the 17 inch bullits are a 7 inch wide rim and i have been told that the the 255 50 17 bfg g force will be the same diameter but it will give you that mucle car look with the tires buldging out a little pass the rim

Is it OK to use the stock pirellis in the front, while putting the wider BFGs in back?

eh...for they are they are not too bad...I still have em and although they don't let me start as well as I could once I start to move up in rpm they do a ok job of holding on to the road...athestically i love em...everyone is so fascinated with big rims now that its really just tiring...moving up to 18" would be nice but even then there are only a few wheels out there that I would really consider performance wise...What I think its really funny is when people try to up the power and mod out there cars only to put 20" rims on them...talk about shooting yourself in the foot...that said I did see a GT with 20s on it run pretty well one time...hmmf go figure

I saw the BF Goodrich Radial T/As, and wow...

They look so Classic, with the width and white lettering. I would totally get those...

I noticed the largest wheel size they fit are 16 inches...

And I don't know about switching to 16 inches from 17.

Although I do want deep dish style wheels with wide tires ( white lettering would be a plus too. Once I finish with performance parts, I'm totally going Vintage with this)

A correction note - the Original Equipment 17" Bullitts are 17"x8", not 7". Found these on eBay
