Floor board
On the driver's side I have noticed a "popping" noise when I put my heal down into the floor board. It's exactly like when you push down on the lid of a jar after it has been opened.
Anyone else have this problem? The dealer told me that they have seen it before and that I have to live witih it.

RE: Floor board
The "dead pedal" is actually a big piece of styrofoam that goes all the way across (with a flat "dead pedal" piece that sticks up where your left foot sits). Perhaps yours is loose or has broken? Pull back the carpet and you can see it. Pull up on the plastic under your door first (it pops up easily, can't think of the name of it right now, on mine it has the brushed aluminum "Mustang" word on it) and then you can pull back on the plastic piece that runs from the door to up under the dash. The carpet can then be pulled back easily.

RE: Floor board
Same here. It's simply the floor bottom flexing and as the poster said the metal is flexing and popping. Mine happens worse to close to the seat you put your feet when you get out of the car.

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead, but this happened to me today. Actually my mom came over and she wanted to drive the car so she took it for a spin, and when she got back and was getting out of the car there was this pop noise. I sat in it and pushed a couple of times then finally found the spot, its near the pedals, and when I pull the carpet back the metal seems to be popping under a piece of foam thats under there.
Do you all think this is anything to worry about?
