Personally, I dont care for the look of them, but if you like that look, I would say REAL. Fake exterior mods are just too rice for me.

I'm not a fan of non-functional stick-ons.. that includes hood and side scoops. Seems too fake..

I know that the fake ones look good and you don't have to drill your hood, but the functional ones do performthe 'function' of keeping your hood out of your windshield should your latch fail at high speed. Also, what are you going to do when a bunch of people come around to see your nice Mustang, then when you open your hood the pins go right up with it? You'd probably feel like a real stud then (just kiddin') wouldn't you?.
If you do decide to go with the functional ones, make sure that they are at least 4" long. If you use shorter ones, they won't be long enough. I think that mine are off of a '69 Mach and they work fine. You will find that there are only about 2 places to mount the hood pins. You will need todecidewhich one you like best. Some guys like them just outside of the radiator cover on the radiator support. I mounted mine directly into the radiator brackets. After the radiator cover is removed, you will see that there is a hole in the middle of each radiator bracket. This is a great place to mount the pins, because when you get done and replace the cover, it looks stock.

This should be easy... very easy to answer:
Cosmetic wise- go with the "fake"
Functionality- go with "real "

They're butt ugly so if you do not absolutely need them definitely do not add them.
