Default Tax return Mods!

Hey Guys, ive been lurking the forum for a bit since i got my 06' 4.0 about 6months ago. Now with tax time coming up ive decided to do a little modding! Tell me what you think of these mods please..

http://www.americanmuscle.com/2005v6...ator2-kit.html
http://www.americanmuscle.com/nx-v8-efi-dps-8605.html
http://www.americanmuscle.com/nx-rpm-window-switch.html
http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...ck-2005v6.html

That comes to about $1,750.00 and if i did my math correct about 337 HP with a 100 shot of Juice.
What can i expect to see at the track?
Could i beat a stock GT?

Thanks a lot.

very cool, but i would reccomend ZEX instead of NX, the installation is much more straight forward

go over to rygen's site (www.rygen.net/stang) to look at what kind of numbers he was getting with his 75/100 shot

and yes, you will take a stock gt

Thanks for the link that car is badass!
Do you think ill have any reliability issues with the Juice? i figured with the window switch at about 2700 RPMs i should be ok what do you think?

I noticed the ZEX uses its own type of Throttle control could someone explian it to me is it better than a window switch sorry im a newb lol.

I am actually getting the ZEX with all the goodies in on Monday, so I am pretty well educated on this stuff lol

Serious problems with nitrous mainly happen when with these happen:
1. You spray and are not at WOT
2. You spray at too low of RPMs (said to be under 2500)
3. You try to spray extremely large amounts

The ZEX throttle control will make sure that you are only spraying at WOT, which eliminates problem #1.

The window switch (ZEX also makes one) will allow you to set the RPM range where you will allow the car to spray, making sure that you dont spray under 2500. That eliminates problem #2. I will personally be setting my window switch to be spraying between 2700 and redline

The last problem is something that you can completely stay away from, because if you set the system up to spray 100 or below, you should be just dandy. People only break stuff for this reason when they get greedy

Thanks for all the great info!

By the way how much do you think i would be charged to have all this installed for me.
I was thinking about going to the same shop that "Rygen" went to for his, so if he reads this id be interested to hear how much it cost him. also how much extra stress will the 100 shot put on my car as opposed to the 75?

Thanks again!

The install costs are based on how much the shop charges you per hour. Generally, a full blown setup would be around 6-7 hours, and a basic setup would be around 2-3 hours.

The extra stress on the engine should not be too bad at the 100 shot, but you will definitely need a custom tune for the car with that. If you are only running the 100 shot on the track, then getting an extra tune is not a hassle, but if you are planning to run the tune normally, you will lose power because of the timing issues that nitrous imposes on the engine.

By the way, you have an email and a PM from me
