what percentage do you guys use or recommend?

You really can't compare... every shop that does custom tune is going to have a different starting value for shift firmness.... so at 0% mine tune may be a lot firmer than your tune at 0%... this of course is over simplified, but you get the idea...

He is right. When i got my first tune from Brenspeed they told me they left them stock because thye did not feel the car could handle it. i went in and uped them by the 25% that you can and could not tell hardly anydifferance. My second tune from VMP had the shift pressure boosted a lot.I had to go in and cut the 2-3 and 3-4 shift down by the 25% that you can and would still like to cut it a little more. So as scrming said it all depends on where the tune is set from the begining.

Good info, thanks guys. I got my tune from Tunable induction, put the shift firmness up as high as it would go and it still feels mushy. Not as bad as stock, but it certainly won't jack your head back.
