If you're running an auto, the x-cal2 is the way to go. If you're manual, i'd say it's a toss up. Go with a tune shop like brenspeed or evolution performance, don't go with the tunes from the tuner itself.
if you have an auto, the tuner is going to make a bigger difference
you will see some better shifting, and better throttle responce. also, you will gain ~12rwhp, which is pretty good. it does not really matter what kind of CAI you have, there is only maybe 4rwhp differnece between the 'best' and the 'worst' CAIs after the tune

X-cal2 from Bamachips is the way to go! Doug is a great tuner. You can expect considerable gains both in HP and vesatility in any other mod you do. It was my 2nd mod after the K&N CAI.
You won't be soory with the bamachips X-cal2

theres a great write up on this under 4.0 FAQ sticky entitled look here before asking about tuners...i learned a ton there
for a BBK though ide go w/ an xcal2
go w/ a diablosport if you have C&L they worked together and the diablosport specially helped to make the new cai for C&L that a lot of guys have on here...the combo of the two is supposed to be great....xcal2 is your best betgenerally speaking though
