Default PYPES HELP

I really like the way the pypes tru duals sound except that I do not want to get the street pros. I know i have seen a website with the Violator mufflers and i was wondering if anyone knew where i could find them? I saw it was an option where you could either have the SP's or the Violators with the same X-pipe setup any help is greatly appreciated

Curious as to why the Street Pros are not, I'm assuming, loud enough?

I have them and when driving in NH they can hear me in VT.

87dB at idle, and 97dB (10 times louder) at 4,000 RPM in neutral.

I can only assume it is over 100db at full throttle in gear as I can rattle the whole car at 3,000 RPM.

My wife and everyone we have run across love them. The Violators must be unreal.

But if you do find the package you are looking for, please post some video after they are installed.

Try calling Pypes, they may have a special package code or upgrade info.

Have fun either way.

SOHC

PS: Nice car!

...well on a scale of 1-10 (rated by pypes) the street pros are 7's i think and the violators are a 9.5.

unless they marked mine as streepros and they are actually violators, the street pros are loud enough. But even so, the first time you get them on they'll be really loud, but they mellow out a ton.

Love your description "overly loud enough"...

Ya, they take some getting used to.

Gonna get some ear plugs for the boy when he rides with us.

As long as you don't use "cruise" or keep a steady pedal between 70-80 you're OK. Cruised at 65 today and couldn't even hear them.

Then I blasted up to 90 between a 40' van trailer and a Jersey barrier! YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAA!!

Got a "thumbs up" from the trucker!!!

Street Pros... 8-9

http://media.putfile.com/2006-Mustan...ers-Cruise--80

The pipes are louder than the video relays.. the drone can easily be heard at the end of the video as I took my foot off the gas and back on.

Kinda fun actually. You end up playing a game with your car. The less noise you make the better your gas mileage.

Good for economy. Good for then saying F it, and ramming the pedal down up a steep grade in the left lane while everybody else is slowing down to 55 !!!!

Sounds freakin mean at 4500 RPMs! The whole car shakes as the tone drops into the floorboards.

This video gives you an idea of low speed hum, and then some 3/4 throttle acceleration.

http://media.putfile.com/SOHCman---U...-Pypes-Exhaust

This one gives you an idea of the V6 "howl" coming across the first bridge in 2nd gear, and the tranny "whine" going across the 2nd bridge...

http://media.putfile.com/SOHCman---L...th-Pypes-Duals

I backed out of the throttle around 80...

Enjoy,
