Can anyone tell me if this radio can get sirius satellite radio? I bought the 07 mustang, V6 pony package and now want satellite radio, but do not want all the wires from secondary FM tuned unit....any ideas?

 

2007 is suppose to be factory equipped ready for sirius radio as far as I remember. My 2006 isn't, I'd have to remove the radio and add an external bus to the back of it and buy the sirius or xm unit separate from that. I don't think it is a lot of wires, maybe just one.

 

i have on 07 with the shaker 500 and it comes ready. you just need to order the subscription and get it activated.

 

My 07 came with a 6 month subcription to sirius..

 

If it is true that the 07s come pre-equipped with sirius , then where is the satellite antenna?

 

O.K. all the 07 radios are satellite ready, BUT, if your car does not come with the satellite package, you need to buy the tuner from ford, or wherever you can find one. basically it is a tuner, and the antenna should plug into your unit, and some wiring mods might be needed, If your shaker 500 comes with an AUX button, your stock unit is satellite ready. I am going to check ebay, and check the local junk yards for the tuner, wiring and antenna.

 

i have the skifi2 in my car i got a 06 with the 07 if u have the shaker u have the satlite setup the atena is the rubber thing on ur trunk the install for a external uint is easy any question feel free to ask, anything audio also

 

I have the shaker 500 system, but there is no antenna on my car. The only thing on my trunk area is the spoiler.
I have to buy a tuner and an antenna, then get it installed. I am currently looking at 5 auctions on ebay.

 

I purchased a sirius tuner and antenna, and purchased a wiring harness from www.radiosandmore.com part number for the harness is 2U6F-14588-AA. So if you own a factory radio, and it has an AUX button on it, you can add sirius radio.

 

My 07 GT came with a Shaker 500 and a 6 month Sirius subscription.
