Razorbackfan...
I hope you're right about the "buff and wax" I'm terrified I'm going to have this horrible "yuck" after I take it off. I wonder if there is any sticky stuff still left on the panel if I could use the 3m adhesive remover or will that screw my paint?

It'll work just fine, just clean the area really good afterward...BTW WD-40 will work too

I dont understand....I see the dealers put these on almost every v6....its the ugliest thing I've ever seen and it completely kills the lines. Also its pretty pointless, bc its not at the widest point of the door...making it useless

Mine was a rental car before I bought it... I hear that is pretty standard for the v6 rental fleets.

SICK!!! I need som 18s for mine...and those are right up there as my first pick

...is there any way you can remove that door jam strip??? It really bugs me.
You feel the same way I do. I remember you buying your bullitts a couple of weeks before mine and I just got done buying a set of OEM Polished 18" bullitts.

Oh, and I had to take those god awful guards off my doors too. LOL

Hi Lew,

Can you explain the offset/backspace thing?

I've been asking around and can't get an answer.

Thanks
Bob

Bob... I can't really explain it. I know that the 2004 and earlier stangs used an offset close to 24mm. And the 2005+ uses close to 45mm, so when I was looking to buy I had to make sure the offset was closer to 45 and not 24. On ebay some of the rims say they will fit 2005 but the offset says 24mm. Don't buy those they will not fit right.

Someone else withmore knowledge at all may be able to give more explaination or correct anything that I said that is wrong...

The ones with a 24mm offset will fit but they tend to stick out further, you just have to stick with smaller size tires, like 255's.
