Default No Muffler

Hey guys I just got my 07 yesterday. Fun as hell to drive but this morning I took off the muffler to see what it sounded like until I get flowmaster next week.Would taking off the muffler affect my mpg? Negatively or Positively?

No change in gas mileage for me.

Had mine off for 9 months and had the car for about a year.

I commute 70 miles Mon-Fri (all freeway traffic) and a few miles extra city. I get an average 23 mpg (freeway &city) and about368 miles on a full tank. My full tank last 4 sometimes 5 full days. Sounds like good gas mileage to me

1 more question, does the carbon monoxide leak into the cabin with the muffler off because the mid pipe ends right after the rear axle?? i just dont want to be dying slowly, ya know?

Sent you a PM response. But no, not where I cut it off...right at the muffler. If you cut at the cat, then you will have that problem. I didn't leave the pipe like that though. Welded a pipe extension and added a 3 inch tip.

it sounds like a gt at idle but high rpms sounds like a cross between a ferrari and and a motorcycle. Revving in neural or park is fun, peple have mistaken me for a gt.
