The Name Game
This has probably been done before, but whatever, please, I GOTTA KNOW! what are the names of your ponies?!! (I posted this wayy back in the appearance section for some unknown reason, and didnt get as many responders as I had hoped for, so..lets try again!) And also if you can, give us the reason as to why you decided to name it that!
Mine? Vanessa
I think because, honestly? She just looked like a Vanessa, all nice and sexy like

RE: The Name Game
OK - I'll indulge
'66 Mustang = "The Mustang"
'05 Vert = "The Oh Five" or "The Convertible"
'06 PP-coupe = "The Coupe"
I know - not very original. I had a white '98 3.8L/auto Mustang convertible that we called "The Maytag". Previous cars were named by year.

Well, if you have the stock axle you should do nicely.
Correct, that we have more traction than power, BUT, if managed correctly you can get a sweet burnout.
Options,
1. Hold brake pedal with left foot. Apply power with right till tire spins. Release left foot and put accelerator to the floor. (Assuming Automatic transmission)
2. Change in traction advantage (right turn): While rolling to a stop downshift automatic to 2nd gear (under 20 MPH). Check traffic conditions and roll through stop sign. As you accelerate, drop car into 1st and jump on the gas. Shift into 2nd around 4000RPM and again into 3rd, etc. Back off the pedalwhen you are going as fast as needed.
Doing 2 above with a LEFT turn can be more dangerous as your "butt" will want to slide outward towards the side of the road (fences, guard rails, trees etc...) Stick to the right-turn burns until you are very comfortable with the way your car handles.
PM me and I'llsend you a link to aBONE STOCKV6 burnout that will shut your detractors up permanently.

PS: If you are in "D" in bad weather you may unwillingly do burnouts if your tranny downshifts for you if your wheel spins. I manually shift in bad weather. And sometimes in good weather come to think of it!
