Default spoiler delete

Hi all, my next mod will be to remove the rear spoiler if I can find out how to properly fill the mounting holes afterward. Anyone have any knowledge on doing that? thanks

I don't have a photo, but I CAREFULLY removed my rear spoiler, followed by removing the adhesive. True Value had 4 stainless bolts that were rounded with an Allen-head indentation, and I bolted them in with windshield sealer and nylon washers. It's a temporary fix until I get the holes welded and painted, or swap deck lids with another Tungsten.

I din't know there were 4 holes, considering the time and effort of welding grinding and painting, a new deck lid may be the way to go especially if I can get a used one in good condition.

Yes, it will fit, but you should remove the fake GT gas cap so people don't accuse you of being a poser. If you swap decklids, be sure to change the keylocks back to the original cars.

excellent, thanks for the info, for sure I would put my keylock on and remove the GT emblem, I don't need any heat from fast car wannbe's

I can't offer any technical advise on how to do it, but I had mine removed. A body shop had to fill in the holes and repaint. Cost $700, I think. I first tried to find a deck lid without one and do a swap but no luck.
