Got my GT takeoff mufflers
Just got my GT Takeoffs, probably install the passenger side tonite. Looks like it should be pretty simple. I think I read somewhere to disconnect the battery, I wonder why ??? Is it necessary to disconnect the battery when installing ???
Dont know yet if I will go to duals or not, I keep reading that there is not benefit to duals other than appearance and sound. Is this really the case ???
If anyone has any tips for the installation of the single takeoffplease let me know.

RE: Got my GT takeoff mufflers
I installed my GT takeoff the other night in about an hour. Didn't disconnect the battery. Basically you unscrew the bolt holding the muffler to the exhaust, then the bolts holding it to the frame (there's three brackes holding the stock V6 muffler and a hidden bolt on top of the muffler that's fun to get to). Just work the muffler loose and remove it. Put the mounting post things on the GT muffler brackets (it only has two), then put the GT muffler in the exhaust, and bolt the brackets. You might have to adjust the tail pipe for clearance of the bumper so it doesn't touch (and melt) the plastic. It's really easy to do. I noticed the sound went from a purr to a deep, throaty growl.
