Default 8.8 install

Ok i installed the 8.8 yesterday with 3.73's and a LPW girdle from P/H.
The install wasn't difficult at all when using a hoist.
We got the 7.5 out and started to install the 8.8 and everything was going too smooth, after installing the upper control and the lower control arms and starting to install the shocks i noticed something was missing (can you guess what?) yeah the springs, so we had to disassemble everything and reinstall it this time with the springs on the car and not on the floor.
But even with that little mistake It only took my friend Dan and I 2 hours to complete the entire install.

I do have a question for any one who has installed this 8.8 in there car. Did you have to retune the car to get the performance out of it?
The reason i ask that is it feels heavier now and i have a throttle lag when i step into it. It seems like maybe the shift points might be off a little too. I am not sure but the car lost power and i don't know if it because of the wieght difference or even the rotational mass of the bigger gears and internals in the 8.8

I thought maybe the gears wern't 3.73's but at 75-80 mph on the freeway yesterday the car was running at about 2500rpm with overdrive on and thats about the rpm range my 7.5 ran with 3.73's.
I am going to give Lidio a call tommorrow and see what his thoughts are but if you guys could give me a little insight about this maybe i am overlooking something. Thanks in advance

Default RE: 8.8 install

Joe glad you back up and running and things are almost perfect. There might be a weight issue with the rotational mass issue.
