Default HP/Exhaust?

How much HP u think I can run out of a single exhaust hi-flow JBA muffler before it becomes too restrictive? How much after performance headers and a single? I was thinking probably 300hp but would like to hear some opinions?

Thanx for the info!

Mabey 10-15. Exhaust doesn't do much for our cars, and headers do even less. You will see better gains from headers if you go Forced Induction (F/I)

I think the question is at what HP level does single exhaust start to rob you of power. That's a good question. If you throw on an X-Charger or Torque Twister, are you going to get better performance by also going dual exhaust?

Exactly moonstang! That's the question, not that. I was wondering if I did cam/head/intake or turbo would the single rob me of hp or if I could run 300HP out of a single hi-flow muffler w/o losing a lot of high end or losing a lot of low end by going to dual?

Thanx

just go dual anyways. the amount you lose, if any, is insignificant and unoticeable on a N/A stang. what you gain is definately worth it and outweighs anything else: looks, sound, much less restrictions if you ever decide to go big (F/I). just my own opinion though. good luck.

I still am gonna wait till I get at least 275HP till I go duals. Here's why:
My friend and I have the exact same car with the exact same mods except for the chassis brace and he has dual flowmasters. I raced him and easily took him off the line and he only started catchingme when I/wehit about 60mph, after that he only took me by about half a carwhen we let off at 80mph. That's why I'm definitly not going duals yet. That's also why I think their definitly not worth the gains till you have at least 260-270hp. It's like the tiburon's and accord's I see on the street with dual's for pretty much no reason I could think of but sound. yeah my friend's stang is twice as loud as mine with about 5-10 more Hp but he's slow as **** off the line!

Damn. Why'd I get off topic, my question was how much HP can I run out of a single outlet hi-flow muffler before it's too restrictive?

Driver has alot to do with that.....I may be wrong here, and if i am I'll hear about it, but I dont think the same cars with the same mods minus the duals would make that much diff. I know sometimes the dual you will lose some hp/tq, but its so minimal you shouldnt be able to tell.

3 inch pipes and a good muffler should be good for close to 400 hp, reason i say this is look at trucks, an 06 f150 is rated for 300hp factory, with a single exhaust, there are guys running 400+ out of those engines with single exhaust cars run duals for the "look at me" factor. forced4 requires a 3 inch system if you go single,a nd they are putting out 35o hp on their system.
