Default Should I keep modding?

I'm 21 yrs old, And I'm gonna keep this car till I'm 24 or 25 and have a good paying steady job. I've seen 1000HP 5.0 stang's on Long Island and no I'd have no chance competing with them. So I wonder, should I keep putting money into this car b/c I'll have it a few yrs, wait for the GT and supercharge it, or both? About what % of the cars that race on the street do u think I could take once I'd reach about 270HP at the flywheel with 4.10's,T-Lok, Subframe Connectors, andRear upper and lower control arms? Do u think our stock pumpand injectors can take 270HP, ifyes or no what do u think they can take?
Thanx

Heck yah mod the hell out of it! lol The fuel pumps fine. There are people running like 370ishwhp and 400whp with it but I would think there maxing it out. Im at 300whp and tq and mines fine. You'll need bigger injectors when you go FI. They will come with the kit.

well sir.... Here is my HO, If you are that worried about those few 5.0 GTs whoopin yo but, then i would save and get the GT so you can, in turn, whoop their butt. However, if you really really want to kick their a$$, then get the gt and supercharge it. Just my HO.

Where do you want to spend your money? Trying to be the fastest thing around is going to cost more in labor/parts than the car is worth. Enjoy the car, and in the meantime save your money. Your mod list is nice as it is, just keep the car maintiened and running strong, and pick up a few well-planned mod everyonce and awhile.

GT hp - 300. Enough said. More options to mod after upgrading also.

not to mention that you are will be worth a lot more if you get a GT. All the mods you do dealerships dont care, and most people dont want to buy moded v6s when they can get moded gts.

I just traded my 05 v6 for 07 gt. I just creamed my jeans.

`nough said.

Thanx, ricklmesa, when did u change the injectors, how much hp do u think the stock ones can take? BTW, I'm doing gears and T-Lokwithin the next month, how many tenths in the quarter u think I can gian with 4.10's and a T-Lok w/good tires(not Drags or Slicks)?and after that, u think I'll see more gains per dollar with UDP or a performance camshaft (w/ or w/o roller rockers)? PS: How much would each cost and how much u think I'd gain with each?

nough said ? a young kid asked what to do to his V6 and you tell him to trade it in and buy a GT ? You better trade your GT for a GT500, then a GT500KR. Then you'll have to trade that for a Veyron, then, then, then, At 21 yrs old his car insurance is probably double his car pmt. And this may be very, very hard to believe, but some people like the V6. The GT will be worth more later, and costs more now. Unlike alot of kids he didn't buy rice, he bought a Mustang. Beating him down won't welcome more young kids into the sport of hotrodding. And now THAT, is 'nough said.

you will never, ever end your search for more horsepower, it's what makes our sport fun. My advice is to do what you can when you can afford it and take pleasure in knowing you did it, and you are making the car uniquely yours. If you get to 1,000 hp someone will have 1,200. So build your car to make yourself happy, not to beat someone else or prove anything to anyone. I'd have loved to have a new Mustang at 21 yrs old, you're doing great ! The best part about the sport of hotrodding is considering the possibilities then making some of those dreams come true. You have an awesome car now, enjoy it, work on it and take pride in what you do to it. Whether it's clear turn signal markers or 12 lbs of boost via a supercharger, it's you, it's your signature. Your plans all sound good, it sounds like you'll have a sweet running little car you can be proud of. Go to it brother !!
