what Performance mods (i know you can do anything aesthetic) you can do that will NOT void the factory warranty? Im young and my parents are the ones making the payments on the car, while i make the payments on the mods, and they dont want to void the factory warranty, just in case. I already have dual exhaust, so that ones out. but what else can i do that will keep everything under warranty? are there many performance parts for the 6 from Ford Racing or Roush? I know those will be under warranty if they install them, but i havent seen much.

 

you can get an axle back exaust. you can get a cai/tune, just keep the stock air box and if u have to take it in for service just re flash the computer back to stock with ur tuner and put the stock airbox back in. you can do any appearance mods ( louvers, spoilers, ect.) is it a lease or did ur parents buy it?

 

Have you read the fine print on FRP parts? It says some parts may void your factory warranty. Just because it's FRP orRoush does not mean it's covered by the factory warranty. If you don't want to void the warranty - don't mod.

 

they bought the car, otherwise i wouldnt even think of modding it cause id be gettin rid of it in a couple years. and why i mentioned roush and ford racing, i was told at my dealership that if you used parts from those two names and had them install them (which i hate cause i like doinmy modsmyself) that they were covered under factory warranty.

 

its possible, im not too sure about that tho. i would talk to the dealership where the car was purchased and ask them exactly WHICH parts would not void the warrenty. im sure exaust wont because mine didnt, but then again every one is different hah. talk to them.
