Default silencer/muffler delete?

I know this has been posted before, but I can't seem to google it.
What and where is the silencer on my 07 4.0?
Is it the square boot at the intake of the air box?
Also
I installed a hidden hitch this morning to carry a bike rack. While I had the muffler off, I cranked her up. WOW! I started a search for a pipe to take the place of my muffler. I've found a place selling dual,"muffler deletes" but I can't find a single. Any ideas where I might find one?

Thanks

Where was the place selling dual muffler deletes? You could buy the dual muffler deletes and install just one like many people including myself have done with GT takeoff mufflers.

would doing a muffler delete mess up the engine, void the warranty or reduce back pressure????

Im sure the neighbors will be thrilled to hear those straight pipes pulling in at night. Hope you dont have any noise/nuisance laws in your area

It is my understanding that it would void only the exhaust warranty. As far as reducing back pressure, probably.

How much better does it really sound? How much back pressure would really be lost? Wouldthe loss of back pressurebe something that is TOO noticeable (slow take off, lower top end, etc.)?

I live on 150 acres in the middle of nowhere - - - dont have neighbors to **** off so I can cross that one off the list...hahahaha.....

Pypes has a muffler delete that comes with their mid-mounted muffler kit. I'm sure you could buy just the passenger side. Try Brenspeed or go right to Pypes.

It sounds AMAZING at idle in gear. Anything else is the same as with a muffler, only louder.

Less backpressure makes it easier flowing for more top end, but you may lose 1-10 tq. As far as I beleive anyway.
