Messing with perfection?
So monday i am taking my car in and getting a Squires Turbo System installed. I already have a GT take off muffler and a couple of appearance mods. My question for everyone is do you think that by modding your cars you are messing with perfection and just making trouble for yourself down the road? I am so excited to get my turbo on i can't wait for that extra power but i am worried about warrenty issues and making problems for myself.
Your car probably won't last as long as if it had no mods to it whatsoever. But look at it this way- Your just taking the already great, and perfecting it. I believe that Ford built this car to handle modifications, not specifically, but you know what I mean. With the combination of parts that you have, as of right now, all that you will have to worry about is burning up tires.
First off, I have never heard of the squires turbo kit for the s197 6er. Sounds sweet! Make sure you get some pictures, dynos, and whatnot. I dont think that modding the car is much of an issue. Especially, with F/I, if you dont go into boost, it is like driving a N/A car around. Dont worry about it and just do it, you only live once my man
edit: oh, are you the test mule for the sts system who posted on the 40c a few days ago?

Hey Chris ... I think 82wife is a girl! I think it's great that we have more chicks modding their cars.
Go girl!! I'd love to see the look on some bone head guys face with a GT when he gets smoked thinking he's gonna make a girl look bad and she hands him his ***. LOL

BTW 82wife IMO if the poweradder is installed right and you don't dog the car all the time I don't think you'll have any problems. These kits are usually well engineered to work well. They want "more" business and if they cause excessive problems they would sell more units.
ha ha! sure what the hell... my husband was ******* my car the other day saying i didn't need more power on her and i told him i may have to go and find someone who understands mustangs and the need for speed we all seem to have
and you are right pperin i don't think that i will have any problems and its going to be a remote install so everything is easily removeable so if there ARE any problems they can just take it all off... they aren't messing around with the engine much
