What is it about these mufflers that make them not drone?
I Ive gone through 4 differnt muffers................and right now I have the FRPP stingers.......
they do drone but have the best over all sound..............the GT take off didnt drone either but....I wish it had a beefier sound to it. I think I might sell my FRPP stingers and try to get a used set of corsas because 650 new (thats rediculous), hopefully I could get a set for around 350-450. At first I could handle the drone but now its a pain.

What makes the Corsa not drone is the special way they're contructed. They use a technology called reflective sound cancellation. Basically what this is, is an arrangement of sealed internal chambers inside the muffler that are a tuned length that lets the frequencies Corsa wants to minimize be eliminated by letting part of the sound waves bounce off the end of the chamber and rejoin the exhaust stream 180 degrees out of phase, thus cancelling that frequency.

They're expensive because of the patented tech involved, as well as the fact they're built like army tanks.

good answer, Corsa's are all stainless steel, if you want to see how a muffler should be constructed, look at how the Corsa's are done. $650 seems like a bargain for them. They're basically 5 or 6 stainless steel tubes inside the outer shell all welded to the alternate end for sound cancellation. It's quite a process.
