Default $300-$400

Ok guys im calling in the reinforcements! I was confronted with the question last night what do I want for Christmas? Something in the price range of $300-$400 plus or minus. I was needing some ideas of what I could get the most bang from the buck. I have 07 PP stick shift stock, and FRPP dual exhaust kit for the V6 waiting for installation. I am looking more for performance items. I know when I get a CAI I want to go with the C&L/tuner package from a reputable company but thats going to run a shade over $600. So give me some ideas here if you can, also is there a place I could order the C&L with maybe a used and unlocked tuner?

Thanks
Jim

No idea where you could get a used tuner except for searching in the parts for sale section on this site. I would suggest either the cai/tune combo if you can find a deal that cheap, or gettinga short throw shifter. Both solid performance mods(shifting quicker or better throttle response. If you want more in the looks department, check out side window louvers or racing stripes, both of those should be able to get in that price range or cheaper. Good Luck!

yeah thanks steel but the only appearance mod I want to do is the shaker. If my mind doesnt change Im going with the CAI/tuner package from doug and I can make up for the rest of the money. I was just checking all my options. Gears and T-lok would be nice but I figure the tuner needs to come first.

If you can stretch the buget up to $485 VMP has a package deal that is well worth it. I don't if this was a limited offer but Justin had posted when this 4.0 package was first released that a later upgrade to the C&L tube would be $199.

Package includes an SCT X-Cal2 with three VMP custom tunes AND VMP 05+ V6 Intake.

I agree with this guy, but you should also spring for the extra $70 for a GT muffler too. The combination of Justin's package was dynoed at 25 rwhp and 22 rwtq. For around $550 that is a pretty good deal. That is my plan, except I already have a tuner so I only need tunes, intake, and muffler.

I dont need to pay $70 for a take off when I have the whole dual system waiting for install

Great ideas you guys have gave, Im liking that VMP package deal except you dont get a heat shield!

Yep, that was the main reason I suggested the package w/o the muffler If someone doesn't have the GT muffler a take off can be found for less than $70 if money is tight and really completes the set up. With your duals you should inquire about a custom tune optimized for them.
I miss the heat shield as well, but with my hood it wouldn't seal up top anyway. Have to fab something on my own one day I guess.

VMP tuning is really good with the 6ers, and they have their own CAI wich is not too pricey. I think that would fit in the price range
