Default pest control

what is your best defense against critters invading your ride while its in winter storage? i use moth ***** and lots of decon outside on the floor around the car and a box of baking soda inside just to keep the funk smell away. plug the exhaust and intake with mesh.

I'm glad I live in a climate that I can enjoy my car year 'round.
When do you guys put it in storage and how long do you keep it there?

I have heard that mice hate peppermint oil. That if you put a few drops on cotton ***** and distribute a few around the inside and outside of the car, mice won't touch it. Besides, it smells a hell of a lot better than mothballs!

Try Bounce dryer sheets - same principal as the mothballs (strong scent) but leave the car smelling like fresh laundry in the spring. There are also plug in devices that emit a very high pitched noise inaudible to us but apparently very annoying to the rodents.

Poor some engine coolant in a bowl and it will rid you of critters! Its sweet apparently and will kill them for any PETA guys and gals out there that might be reading this!

Wow, I would be totally sad if I had to keep my cars locked away all winter! FL FTW!

We have mice in our garage, have for about 3 yrs.
Tried mothballs, electronic plug in devices, Decon, Mouse traps, and now
have a trap that runs on batteries and zaps the little ****s when they go in for the
peanut butter. The Decon sucked because they end up dying in the garage and
yeah....not fun smelling dead mouse for 3 or 4 days. The electronic sound wave
thing.....doesn't work. I have them in my garage and up north in cabin. Put a new
sweep on the garage door and electrocuting them seems to be working.
Never heard of the pepermint oil or the dryer sheets, I'll try those, thanks !
